Old Republic Surety Company (ORSC), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has a long and rich history in its development from a property and casualty departmental line of business to becoming one of the leading writers of surety and fidelity business in the United States.

In its initial years, the operation was a department of Northwestern National Casualty Company and Northwestern National Insurance Company (NN) which were part of the Northwestern National Corporation, a Milwaukee based insurance holding company whose heritage dates back to 1851.

ORSC became affliated with Old Republic International in 1986.

ORSC specializes in writing non-contract, small fidelity, and contract surety. Since the early 1990's, ORSC has increased its contract market participation, and it now comprises approximately one-third of its premium writings. ORSC and its affliates operate in all 50 states.

ORSC has branch and field offices located throughout the United States. Service is paramount in all branch offices. State-of-the-art computer enhancements include
e-SURETY™ and the ability to load applications and bond forms on to agents PCs, as well as direct bill options which allow for quicker response time and better service to the 8,000+ independent agencies that represent ORSC.
